Pengembangan Desain Pembelajaran Statistika Berbasis IT Menggunakan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education untuk Kelas VIII SMP

Abstrak. Penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya kemampuan penalaran peserta didik mengerjakan soal-soal dalam kategori tinggi dan advance. peserta didik lebih cenderung menggunakan rumus tanpa melibatkan penemuan konsep dari pengalaman peserta didik sehari-hari. Hal tersebut mendasari untuk mendesain alur belajar topik statistika dan menghubungkannya dengan aktivitas berdasarkan pengalaman peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang alur belajar topik statistika kelas VIII SMP berbasis IT dengan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), dimplementasikan melalui RPP dan Media IT yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengkombinasikan design research model Plomp dengan model Gravemeijer & Cobb, yang terdiri dari 3 fase yaitu fase penelitian pendahuluan (preliminary research/preparing for the experiment),  fase pengembangan (development or prototyping phase/design experiment) dan fase penilaian  (assessment phase/retrospective analysis). Dari penelitian ini dihasilkan alur belajar topik statistika untuk kelas VIII SMP yaitu menemukan konsep penyajian data, menemukan konsep modus, menemukan konsep median dan statistik lima serangkai, menemukan konsep dan sifat-sifat mean (rata-rata hitung), mengeksplorasi nilai modus, median dan mean dalam mengambil keputusan. Desain pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria valid dengan karakteristik aktivitas untuk mencapai tujuan, menemukan kembali konsep matematika, membuat model sendiri, dan  memenuhi kriteria praktis serta efektif.

Abstract. This research started from the low ability of students' reasoning to do the problems in high and advance category. Learners are more likely to use formulas without involving the discovery of concepts from the experience of everyday learners. It underlies to design the learning path of the statistical topic and relate it to the activity based on the learners experience. The purpose of this research is to design the learning path of VIII class VIII IT-based topics with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, implemented through RPP and IT Media that is valid, practical and effective. The method used in this research is to combine the design of research model of Plomp with Gravemeijer & Cobb model, consisting of 3 phases: preliminary research phase, development phase and assessment phase. From this research, the learning path of statistical topic for class VIII junior high school is to find the concept of data presentation, to find the concept of mode, to find the concept of median and statistics of five series, to find the concept and the mean properties (average count), to explore the mode, median and Mean in making decisions. The learning design meets valid criteria with activity characteristics to achieve goals, rediscover mathematical concepts, create your own models, and meet practical and effective criteria.
